Like A Movie
Aug. 25th, 2006 04:50 pmSo, pretty often I feel like my life is a movie; this possibly is linked to my tendancy, starting when I was seven or so and caused by too many books and later too much MUSHing, to narrate myself as I wander through life. It's something I haven't done lately, but the feeling of being viewed persists.
So the other day Bob and I are on the 20 bus, sitting in the back, hand in hand. An older man stops by us, looks at us, and asks, are you two in love? We answer yes. He says you should get married. Not now, but in the spring. I was married for twenty five years. My wife died of cancer. When you're hurt you walk around doing stuff like that, yannow?
Anyhow, it felt like a movie scene from something predictable. My life, of course, is not particularly predictable.
