Baseline

Last night A and I are discussing depression and mania. At one point the question comes up: where is your baseline, Greenie? Uh. I dunno, where is my baseline?

In other news, I had an amazing weekend. Stumbling out of bed and over to the couch, eating hot cereal and drinking mulled apple juice while watching a movie (Brotherhood of War) snuggled up under covers is a good way to deal with fall(cold), with illness, with morning, with breakfast, and with waking up and loving someone. So good.

In other other news, I am so happy. All yesterday was so fantastic (I consider happiness my baseline, though in the last few months I've been more persistently down than I have for awhile, on and off). I've successfully stayed in bed for most of the weekend, and I still have a headcold, but it's not so bad anymore.

In even more news, I've got a computer up and running, so the return to otherspace is imminent.

In not-so-news, I see Kynnin today. After that, I may drop by KMM, or I may try to convince Juggler to drop in on me. See you 'round.

I ought to ask you for a phone number or something sometime, oughtn't I? Funny thing about the internet....the idea that I might talk to you on the phone has never occured to me before now in...how many years have we known each other?

Of course, if you do give it to me, you have to explain to me how to dial a Canadian phone number from the US. 'cause I really have no idea. But I might actually call you if you did.

Of course we'll have funny accents. Especially considering mine is a Southern drawl. ;)

For JTS....I've been playing Hezekiah again with the new Athena arc. Not on there consistently, but I've been on a few times for the major scenes. Haven't really played on Chia in months, as most everyone I played with much is gone. But all my characters are still purge-protected, should there be a reason to bring them back.

Most of my playtime now is spent on Into the Black, a Firefly-based MUSH.

funny, I didn't think you were interested in having a baseline - you seem to function flying from "ESCTATIC" to "contemplative" to the (now occasional) "suffering". I don't mean this as criticism, just how I've observed you being.

Not really, although I do feel as if one is sneaking up on me as I get older; I have a general sense of centre and 'what I'm usually like' now that I didn't have before.

It was an interesting conversation, given that.
