greenstorm | Opening A Space

So I've been feeling really short on personal time lately. I've been doing stuff and spending time with people, but I've had little time to myself to just chill-- you'll have noticed that, 'cause I don't post on lj when I don't have time to hear myself think.

So this afternoon I carved out a couple of hours and went home in the rain. I did the dishes, scored some awesome stuff from the dumpster around the corner (beautiful solid old wood chair, 'tv tray' or card tray thingy so I can put my tea somewhere when I'm lounging on the sofa, and a mirror to cover the wrecked desiderata poster plastered by years of steam to the bathroom wall), and came home to look up rat genetics stuff and to cuddle with my babies. Well, I came home to do nothing, but the babies ended up on me for awhile, Sunday and Bandita ended up in my lap for a bit, and the boys and I had a reciprocal cuddling/peeing thing for well over an hour. Honeypie is so socialised now that he didn't want to leave my hand to go back into the cage, and my goodness is he handsome-- beautifully shaped head, nice even silvering, little tiny white finger-gloves.

I feel better now. Next up: setting up the wheel.
