Brain on break for a day; too much stress lately. Have pottery wheel set up and can center a piece of clay that fits between my hands; good sign. The rats were screaming at each other, but turns out it's only Princess Sprite screeching at Silver when Silver looks at her sideways. I should stick a dominant rat in that cage. I could go on a three-day pottery-climbing-and-drumming retreat starting tomorrow without paying money or leaving my neighborhood by simply turning off my cellphone. Could do ink painting if that became boring.
Hector's stopped snuffling after only a day or two on doxy. Girls cage (not sprite's) is sniffling now. Lesigh.
shift key sucking again
i'm reading both a book called 'enduring forests' (awesome book, modern science in it, most people's knowledge on thiese issues lives somewhere in the eighties) and a book on squamish rockclimbs. they make interesting counterpoints to each other, both mentioning issues like burn cycles in forests from different points of view. apparently the squamish rocky bits have a lot lot lot more trees on them and in the area that they did, say, eighty or even thirty years ago, maybe because of forestry policy around fires or climate cycles.
