Doctor says: secondary bacterial infection after viral thing. No working tonight, maybe not Monday. Gave me doxy, which is the same antibiotic I give rats for respiratory infections. Hahahaha. Have stuff for soup. Now: energy to make soup must be found. Muah. Pah. Grr.

Bonus bacteria! At least bacteria are more co-operative in terms of responding to treatment (i.e. dying) than viruses. Get better soon—of course!—but at least now it seems likely it won't take too long.

NB: According to Dawkins, your symptoms are part of the phenotype of the bacterial DNA.

hello! just thought you might be interested to learn a fact that was passed to me by a health-aware friend when i was on antibiotics....

antubiotics can kill the good bacteria as well as the bad bacteria, so to protect your internal flora, it's useful to take an acidopholous supplement - or, if you don't feel like taking any more pills - some yogurt
