Slow day doing work-search-related stuff, so I took a break and went looking for the two volunteer things I've been thinking about doing: big sisters and a local botanical garden. Signed up for orientation nights for both next week (timely, as they both had november orientation nights and then, like, december orientation nights).

Look at that! Look at those courses! Looklooklook! Oh, dear gods, if I can do this it will be wonderful. Look at the garden guide course! Look at the master gardener course! Look at the summer programs! AAARRRGH. I really hope it's not too hard to volunteer for this stuff. They have certain commitments attached to them, so maybe there won't be too much competition. And it is November...
