This is absolutely the best time of year. It's warm but not hot and sometimes cool, so that when you're walking you're constantly reminded of the feel of your skin by the air moving past you. It is THE BEST time of year for food, cornucopia time, when everything imaginable is ready to eat in Vancouver (and really, we have a LOT of different things that grow here). Grapes(!!), melons, eggplants, tomatoes(!!), peaches, strawberries, corn, it's a great pepper year-- everything is wonderful right now. Everything is still green, and a new crop of young greens will come up with a little more rain, chickweed good for the eating &c, but some things (blueberries, liquidamber trees) are starting to go beautifully red. It's chilly eveningward, so time for thick blankets and soon fires at night, but still topless weather during the day.
Plus, baby rats!
Plus, I really love the music my brother writes, and he's playing at Ty's party next weekend (and Angus is doing fire, I am looking forward to this party). There's something about the music written by bassists that really does it for me.
Plus, baby rats RIGHT NOW.
