Here we go again. First, though, an amusing ancedote. You're prepared to be amused? Good.

I go to Walmart with the SO to get some appropriately functional sandals and minimalist clothing for the summer. Having been living maybe two thirds of the time away from home I find that non-minimalist clothing is too much to haul around and my last years' minimalist clothing is worn to shreds.

We walk out with a... Gamecube? One of these game thingies. In the car on the way home it's established that he 1) wants to take it to work to play there. 2) wants to cancel most events this weekend to play then. 3) wants to go to his friends' place and bring it, therefore not cancelling the last event of the weekend. And on, maybe he can squeeze ten minutes in to set it up before work even though he's running late...

I just do not understand the whole videogame thing. I appreciate that it exist but remain completely baffled as to how, why, what, duuuh? Ah, well. The world needs to keep a couple of mysteries.

So I guess I put on my new sandals and begin to wear them in, and while doing that I will start on:

1) I only momentarily pondered the possibility of hooking the thing up at work, and was merely amused by the thought rather than taking it seriously

2) I'm certainly not interested in changing my plans this weekend to accommodate video games... there's plenty of time for them, plus I can always bring it with me :)

3) Well, yeah, that one's pretty accurate, and I know he'll get a kick out of it. :)

...have just outed yourself, my love. If you hadn't done that no one on here would know that you yourself are the evil poly computer-and-electronics-obsessing saxifrage00. No one would have thought, look, Greenstorm said something about some guy she calls her SO and I will now laugh at him in mockery because he really enjoys his presents. No one would have thought, look, he's such a loser because his face lights up like a kid's on Christmas and he talks fast about things he likes and wants to take them to work.

Now they will!

It'll be entertaining if you keep trying to tie this journal in to your reality but I warn you it won't work very well. There is no kind of this happened just a little. There is only, this happened. And this, my dear, happened.
