Vancouvery People Who Eat Meat

I want to recommend Katissa Poultry, who also do the most amazing bacon ever, and beef. The on-site place is open Wed-Sat from 10-5, and it's worth it to drop by and stock up. Their whole chickens roast better than anything ever-- so much tastier than anything you can buy in a store, "organic", "free-range" or conventional. Also, even with my landscaper's appetite it takes me a week to go through a roast chicken-- they are enormous and more filling than 'normal' chickens (Eva and I made it through a leg each). It's also stupidly cheap compared to anything that isn't heinously cruel.

I need to buy a box of legs (for everyday) and a box of whole roasters (for groups of more than six), plus when their bacon comes out I am buying it all. I swear, every last bit will be mine.

Thanks for the link - I was trying to remember the name. Still not sure about the beef, since my reading shows that grain is not a natural diet and can cause intestinal distress, but it's got to be better than cramped feedlots with hormone injections....I digress ;)

Pemberton Beef is pretty fantastic too, and also remarkably cheap. You can get at Famous, among other places.
