Two minutes of picking in my backyard this morning. These are super tasty, with a nice complex flavour. Ripeness has nothing to do with colour: green ones are sometimes very ripe and soft, yellow ones harder. I obviously only picked the soft ones. The tree is literally bowed to the ground with the weight of the fruit, which is not quite all ripe yet.
Plum jam is in my future. I think Tues or Thurs. Or just halved and frozen plums really. I really need to get that deep freeze.
