Three movies in the last week and a half: Castaway on the Moon (excellent, points for not too badly done agricultural metaphor and fun take on isolated-within-urban-crowds theme), Avatar (fun, botanically only works if your audience is ecologically blind, but as everyone says it *was* so very pretty even if 3d tech hasn't quite arrived) and Sherlock Holmes (henceforth known as 'The steampunk Holmes) which was surprisingly true-to-text though if they keep pilfering the best bits from every story here and there they'llrun out of best bits.

I liked Avatar as well - except for the whole force projection over interstellar distances thing. Each one of those bullets they fired would have cost a million (billion?) dollars to ship there. You've just bumped up Sherlock Holmes on my to see list too.
What was botanically incorrect with Avatar?
