Last time I hung out with Walker, we were talking about how one sees some friends more than others, not necessarily those one hasn't seen in the longest amount of time or anything but just the ones that fall together through mutual accessibility, circumstance, etc. And I was all frustrated, and going on about how to make those choices, and he said something like, "when you don't see someone much it's not like blacking their names off a list. It's like the ocean sorting stones."

That image has brought me so much peace on an issue I've been struggling with for years.
