Nice to talk to them both, but man, does it ever get more complicated...

Yeah, definite reentry fears on my part. Hope everyone knows what they want and asks for it. Worried that if people aren't really clear it's gonna blow wide open.

When you have a space apart from someone, then need to reintegrate them into your life in an intimate way, that's reentry. And I suck with it.

I expect to be around until maybe 10 Thursday evening, so we should manage contact somewhere in there.

Okay.. I will be on tomorrow evening definitely..

I'm probably aiming for a Vah Shir bard or Half-Elf bard.. I haven't decided which... Once I create the character tonight.. I'll post what my character name is.

Oh, no, now I have to decide.

I think I'm looking at either a human enchantress or a barbarian shaman (or troll shaman, or dark elven enchantress, or high elven enchantress, but those first two seem more compatible somehow...)

I'd never read any roleplay info on the Vah Shir. Found some at http://www.geocities.com/eqdramatispersonae/race/vahshir.html though just now.

Hmm.. If I were to play an enchanter.. I usually end up making an Erudian.. (Start with a great Int base (max bonus points here) and decent charisma(remainder goes here)) and the illusions do a great job..

As for Shaman.. I prefer the frogloks... *ribbit*

I just can't get myself to like the erudites, somehow. I can't get a feeling for the soul of the culture, so to speak.

The frogloks are very pretty models, but feel so bizarrely incongruous to play. Valiant Frogs of War!

Looking over some of it... Hmm... Well.. Vah Shir.. Still possible.. I'll have to look at the other races.. And figure out what I want to play.. Frogloks, from rp point of view, while interesting, would be harder for me to play... Vah Shir Shaman would be playable.. Still need to look further...

I'd think frogloks would be easier, at least for me, because they have a very well-defined bunch of 'stuff' that fills out the roleplay until the personality seeps in, while with humans (or half-humans, or maybe even wood elves) there are fewer sets of 'other' conventions, so it's harder to 'hook into' the character through those conventions. You really build from the ground up with no support.

That's why a high-elven enchantress would be /easy/ to play for me right at first, or a troll shaman. Not being so neutral in belief set, they also offer less ability to interact with everyone in the game than a human or barbie.

Still deciding.. Kinda leaning towards Vah Shir Shaman, half-elf bard, or wood elf druid...

Isn't it terrible? The character generation phase of roleplay is the most maddening, most addictive part for me. Infinite possibility!

I take it you're leaning towards the 'good guys'? Vah Shir seem to have no particular leaning one way or the other, which is neat, and also allows me greater latitude for my char.

I really like the big ugly races (I wish they had orcs!) but think that limits my roleplay interaction somewhat. But oh, the post luclin troll models are soooo lovely...

I think a druid/chanter or shaman/druid combo would probably be easiest to play, just from a mechanics standpoint? Tho half-elf bard is pretty versatile that way too.

*laughs*

I don't think I'm helping you any, am I?

I like cats.. Looks like I'm leaning more towards the Vah Shir as race.. And either Bard or Shaman... Or, maybe even a Beastlord (tho, that would probably be unlikely)...

1st choice is Bard
2nd choice is Shaman

At this point.. Let me know which way you're headed..

How well can a bard/shaman pair duo?

Bard/Shaman.. Not sure.. Shaman w/ the slow spells & healing.. Bard doing some of the tanking w/ songs.. Might work at some levels..

Bard's name is Shingaa

Mmmkay. He's Vah Shir? Male?

Yes.. Vah Shir & Male... But, if you want to play bard, I can create a shaman..

Nope, no bards for me. Not in an rp setting, at least. I just need to /decide/.

Let me know what you decide on.. I can always easily play something else.. A cat bard would definitely be different from a half-elf bard...

...which, btw, I won't do until after I've talked to the guildleader there for a bit I think. Name's very likely to be Qriem/Qriemae/Ayroki though.

I'll give a shout on the serverwide channel as soon as I get on on Druzzil, though.
