Safely in Fort St James. Been awake for 36 hours straight with exception of dozing intermittently on bus. Now lying in a bed with flannel sheets in a room with blackout curtains after showering and eating. The water here is delicious, faintly salty like electrolyte rehydration solution, and the house I'm in is between a beach with firepit and a grove of white-trunked aspens that looks like a painting. I start a new job tomorrow. Friskie and Dave love me. I have to reassemble so so much of my bike because it didn't fit in the box on the bus with just wheels off. I don't know what the next few months will look like at all. I think it'll be OK. I'm a little bit scared, but that is nothing compared to now being able to sleep...
