Ramping Up

It's fall. Everything is ramping up. August and late July are a lull after spring garden and fence-building and pruning and building and generally getting to know the land again after snow; September and hopefully October are the race before snow.
I need to do a whole bunch of things:
Build a snowblower shed so I can get the snowblower out of the carport (which requires chiseling ice off to open) and also put wood in there
Clear out the carport, bring currently cut wood in, stack it, buy a chainsaw, and cut more wood
Figure out a storage solution for potatoes. Harvest potatoes.
Hang tomatoes in carport to ripen/stack in newspaper
Can beans and tomatoes and salsa
Figure out a grain drying/storage solution for this year's grains
Pigs into far field, which means making an A-frame shelter for them
Winterize the quail coop with lumber wrap
Get straw and hay
Pig straw/hay storage solution
Empty chicken coop and refill with straw
Pick up anything that could get caught in the snowblower and maybe predetermine snow paths
Process a bunch of birds etc
Pallets on the north side of the house to prevent bird digging
Clean out under the front porch & more straw there
Bird compost stuff onto the garden for the winter, or in the greenhouse
Build another greenhouse
Prep for coastal pilgrimage
I wish I could just take a month off and do this stuff. I'm also currently still exploring work options and whatnot, and in discussion with Tucker about where we'll live. The farm work is a nice anchor.
