First seeds in the ground, in the greenhouse: lettuce, cilantro, tendril peas, beets. There is a tunneller living in the soil there: I raked it over this morning, then came back to a mouse-or-vole-sized hole in the side of a freshly raked bed.
Also raked up the debris from the grain last year. There is tarragon, mint, raspberries, lovage, chives, and some haskaps in the main bed. Can't tell if the sour cherries survived or not; I may need to buy big ones the voles can't eat whole. We'll see what else comes up in the next week or two.
I want to get the carrots and parsnips in the ground pretty quick here, but that means doing some beds. I'm going to try the cornstarch gel method for carrots.
