Planted today:
Refugee (heritage harvest) and coco (pr seeds) shelling bean.
Red swan (hh), calima (william dam) and honey wax (salt spring) green/pink/yellow beans. Tossed some cilantro in the dry beans.
Also put borealis and tundra haskap in the ground.

Date: 2020-06-04 10:04 pm (UTC)It's a biiiiiiiig temperature range. I would be a lot less okay with the very cold temperatures if they weren't balanced out like that, though.

Date: 2020-06-05 05:37 pm (UTC)I am shocked at how much I like the cold. The coast was a sea of grey and mud for eight months of the year: I would not keep pigs or ducks in that climate. Frozen water is a bit of a logistics issue but nothing compared to the mud. And, of course, the cold keeps so many plant diseases away.
I will envy your summer heat a little, though.
