Minimum Plus

Alright. Thoughts are starting to feel a little less like trudging.
I had been slogging along doing the minimum necessary of anything: thinking, farm stuff, work. Now I'm doing a little more than the minimum. It's a good trajectory.
This means I got out belly trim and liver to make liverwurst today. I attended a meeting for my pagan group about the direction of the group with covid this week. I messaged with a couple people I didn't absolutely bare-minimum have to talk to. It's good.
Definitely feeling some apprehension though: my mood is completely cyclic, and we're going into the bad two weeks right now.
The last snow got mostly rained off; it's snowed again and this will probably melt away too. The ground is frozen, though, so the geese have their pond (water on top of ice, it's pretty slippery) and the pigs aren't tearing up the ground too much.
The cats are all stir-crazy, running and playing and bouncing off every surface. Well, Whiskey (who's supposed to be old enough to know better) and Demon are; Hazard still goes outside and then comes in to lounge by the fire. Smart cat. Demon is absolutely entranced by the birds that come to the deck. They're all meat-eaters, though, and I'm not sure he'd win in a fight.
I've written up an ad for the Ossabaw group but I'm hesitating on posting it. Maybe I should wait and see if I can get them registered? Maybe I should keep Baby and let Oak go instead, and just not keep any new sows until I can get another boar? I'm really second-guessing myself there. Maybe I'll poke the registration process again and see what I can do.
In the meantime I still and always feel lucky to be in this place, to be able to eat what I've grown and have a space that is shared only with who I choose with room for my projects.
