Chosen-therapists question, when I was talking about maybe I need to move anyhow in order to find people doing something vaguely similar to what I'm doing (small-farming, poly, genderweird, etc):

Yeah, another 40 years of not being able to meet up to chat with folks who understand stuff about me feels pretty stark.

I suspect the answer to that would involve a lot of research, specifically popping onto facebook groups in areas to see what the tone is and what's normal, looking at the provincial farmer support group and where they have a high volume of folks who organize meetings, doing some networking, that sort of thing. Every town or small city has its own feel, and I'm in no hurry.
