Lots of processing

greenstormWell, yesterday I slept badly.
Insurrectionists condoned/incited by the president forced their way into the capitol and wandered around for several hours with whatever papers and computers were lying around.
And then Rapunzel ate Nox's piglets alive. I caught her with half the last remaining, still alive piglet. I'll need to separate in the future.
It's not the best time.
Destabilizing but not necessarily bad news on the home/housing front: there's a slight chance of going in on something with E & A & maybe Tucker that would be further in than I could go on my own, and it would give me another gardener/permaculturalist and another butcher on the property. Separate houses etc but there are lots of weird multi-domicile homes out there. This is of course because I said I could never live in community. Lots of talk about/work out for awhile before it happens. Very scary, a tiny bit hopeful. Imagine being able to share chores back and forth when folks went away! Imagine having other people also in control of the land! Eep.
Luckily the sun came out, my emotions are definitely processing in there.
Weirdly, we're still pretty warm, hovering around freezing during the day and a little below at night. I'm apprehensive of how much real cold it's going to take to get us down anywhere near the average. Will Jan and Feb all be -30? Because that will be challenging.
