Well, I've been working so I'm not sure that there's much to say. It's all about the same, except that the garden plan for the front is starting to come together.

The front's going to have a standard-sized ranier cherry tree, and I'll need a dwarf of some other kind lurking somewhere as well to pollinate. It's also going to have the two native huckleberries, a black evergreen one and the red deciduous one. There will also be two mahonia aquifoliums at least, the berry called alternatively Saskatoon, June, and Service whose scientific name starts with am-, and a labrador tea plant. Obviously, I went to the UBC native plant sale, hm?

I've decided the the front will not just contain a lot of edibles. It will contain nothing which produces poisonous or nonedible berries, so I can tell other people to go out and harvest without fear if they get mixed up.

*grin* Rats, check. People, check, though of course that's never entirely smooth.

I'm back on Otherspace now, at least for awhile. We'll see how it goes. The flavour that I remember of the game is back, and there are a bunch of people I recognise where there weren't before. I'm not sure whether I'm looking for a roleplaying niche there or I just want to free-float around for awhile. We'll see how it turns out.

The good weather's broken. It's foggy/gloomy/rainy, which takes a little adjusting. I don't like being very busy in this kind of weather. In the sunshine I have no problem with it, provided that some of the busy-ness involves being outdoors.

Vandusen plant sale coming up this weekend. :>

Uh, group trip?!?
And I think it's a good idea that you keep anything poisonous out of the yard - although you might easily recognize and identify what you've planted, not everyone knows the difference. Speaking of which, one of my neighbours has just planted one of the 'ornamental' nightshade plants we were joking about at the nursery.

Out of a shared yard, I do think it's important. If it were only my own garden, then I wouldn't have issues mixing the two, albeit at some vaguely respectful distance.

I do think nightshade is a very pretty plant. It just doesn't fit in with the current theme of my yard right now -- that and, man, do I ever *not* need more of the solanaceae family in my yard. I'm going to be having dsease issues as it is without the space to rotate my crops.

Alas, I am working during the plant sale, at the plant sale. I won't, therefore, be able to hang out with you there because I'll be running around doing Useful Stuff. On the other hand, I get first look/pick at the plants.

Heehee - you said 'crops,' farm girl! I'm jealous of your chances to see the plants first. Part of me wants to attend, and the other part of me is issuing warnings about budget and actual gardening space.....

Sorry I was distant/cranky last night. I'd been a little people'd out, and even tho you and _locke are low on my depleting-energy-people-scale, I think I just needed more time hiding.

Wednesday, I will actually be able to socialize.

*hug*

I was in that kind of a mood too, so it worked out pretty well :)

We might just have to lie down in front of the fire and snuggle and drink tea...tho I do have a lab rat (hee hee) appointment at 7 that evening; do you want to come along or meet after? or should I just leave the door open?
