greenstormIt's because he reminds me so much of me, back when. Not able to do it the normal way, but without the confidence or self knowledge to clearly express what works.
And navigating relationships with the spectre of meltdowns hanging over and not fully understanding those, and having no plan for them (I'm still there some days).
I'm not saying we're the same, but the ghosts of similarity haunt me. They promise a kind of understanding many folks for whom their mind is their own and relationship style is a choice just can't entirely give unless they're really imaginative and empathetic.
