Any day I spend out in the bush I come home happy. Lately most days I spend anywhere else (work/home) I am in the blackest, muckiest cloud. It's such a stark difference.

What do you mean in the bush? Did you mean like outside in the woods or nature?

The bush is a local term for beyond developed roads. The wilderness might be a reasonable substitution.
