greenstormHooligan piglets are locked up in the Muscovy run for a bit. Hopefully it's robust enough for them to stay there.
The sow closest to farrowing is locked up in the square barn. That leaves the other 14 pigs piling up together in the other field barn, but it's pretty cold right now so that's probably alright. Looks like Sparky is 2-3 weeks behind Nox, and then maybe Apricot and Penny are a month or 6 weeks after that.
The trailer is fixed and armoured a little so geese can't chew off the trailer wires again.
It remains super cold and snowy, supposed to be -20ish again tonight. Everyone needs new hay to keep warm tonight. Goose eggs are pouring in -- there are 2 dozen behind this laptop as I write.
B vitamins, exercise, and slow time to myself seem really important right now. My mental health is not great: lots of avoidance and guilt want to come through, and I'm slowing way down in my abilities to actually get anything done.
But. The farm is ok. I will be ok.
A lot of abattoirs seem to be closing these days. If I had any interest in running my own business that might be an interesting way to go. I think it's something I could do well.
