Night Demon

greenstormSo much of what I record here is a little higher-level. I want to state, for the record, that the following has occurred most mornings I sleep at home in the last couple weeks:
A couple minutes after my eyes open, while I'm still deciding what time and weather I think it is, meowing starts. If the bedroom door is open (which it usually is downstairs) a black head pops up over the side of the bed. If the door is closed there will be lots of motion noises and thumping right outside it. I hiss at the blac head - Demon is not allowed onto the bed - and he jumps away and either starts loudly playing with something nearby or right underneath the bed. This morning his head would pop up on one side of the bed, meow, be hissed away, and then pop up on the opposite side of the bed and meow hopefully.
I've completely lost track at this point, I think he's approaching a year old and is very cute. Also, obviously, very silly.
