Bikes and Dreams

Yesterday I picked a bunch of tomatoes and took them over to Mom's, where we turned them into tabouli and salsa. I left that stuff with her, cause she liked it a lot.

This weekend there should be more of the same.

We also went out to get (cue Gollum) my birthday present-- a pretty customised, used-but-good hybrid bike. Yay! They're still assembling the bits, like the high handlebars and my chosen gearshifter, so I won't get it till the 20th. Alas.

The place (www.pedalpower.org) is pretty cool. I'm now suddenly interested in bike-mechanicing. That may be my next volunteer thingy. :)

I also had some really sucky dreams. They're also pretty clearly classic anxiety dreams -- I've invited Mouse and the Juggler out for a movie, just to sort of reestablish some sort of normal civil interaction on neutral territory. So my dreams are about Mouse, mostly, and bad situations involving her.

*sigh*

At least I'm caught up on my sleep.

Taking Things For Granted?

I do this, you know. Our home is really nice, everything almost finished being tidied away and such, and it's cool. So there.

Also, I'm having chest-and-thighs desire (hah, how's that for odd) to go bikeriding. That is, there's that vibratory tug from the centre of my chest, and the skin on my upper legs feels thirsty for cool air going by while I pump at pedals. Want.... bike.

Well, I'm Home

...at 9:30 at night. That's definitely beat the Juggler today.

Mph. More work tomorrow, too, but not for long.

Want bikes. I'm going to attempt, this weekend, to reduce one-and-a-half bikes completely to parts, and then reassemble into one working bike. I think this would be fun. I will catalogue the parts in a bike for you.
