So yesterday was awesome. I was in total burnout mode. This means I managed, over the course of the day, to:

-get out of bed
-eat a meal (not cook, just eat)
-visit with Tillie/watch a movie
-clean the boy's stove

The End.

It was actually pretty great. I have all these exciting plans for my free time now-- I have those two weekend evenings per week free. Hmmm. I could spend some time at home. I could learn to dance. I could get all that shopping done I keep saying I'll do. I could have mnore sex. I could read a book. I could put some time in on Otherspace. I could visit friends, f'rinstance, I could go for 'coffee' with fuckedupinpink or Patti or Ashley or even CrazyChris. I could walk home from work through the snow. I could cook a big vat of wintertime soup.

Very exciting.

In other news, the boy and I were over at Tillie's last night and he was immediately drawn to play video games. What is it with me, anyhow? It's evident that, in some absolute sense, I am less engrossing than video games. I suppose one could call this a favourable omen.

I should totally get a little LCD screen implanted in my chest, or the back of my head. People could play games or read books from it. I would then be more interesting.

I'm really happy and really content, except that I wish I lived closer to Stuff. Hm. Not sure if that's something to work on yet or not.

...I could participate in the roleplay marathon on Friday. This is exciting.

Dude.

After today:
Mon: work -- work -- dinner @ Tillie's -- Korean Movie Monday
Tues: work -- dinner somewhere for an hour or two between 4:30 and 7 -- Kayak building
Wed: work -- cook for VanDusen Christmas potluck (gingerbread? corn bread?) -- sleep early -- sew crinoline for boy?
Thurs: work -- work -- VanDusen potluck -- sleep 'early'
Fri: work -- work -- work? (pulling three jobs in a row may be unrealistic here. Transfer one to Sat?) -- um, I know I have evening stuff planned here. I think?
Sat: work? -- shopping for Sin City prep (buy canes and makeup) -- Sin City prep -- Sin City scene w/ Anthony and Tillie and Mimi
Sun -- Little girls party w/ Tillie, Juggler, and Beth

Need to remember to call mom re: dinner this week and next week. Want to do the family get-together thing w/ Tillie and boy and Juggler and the rest of them.

Mmmm.

..rubbing bits with people, be it sex-physical, cuddling-physical, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, etc. It feels good.

More importantly, this is an ad Juggler found that I must share. My italics.

...it's lovely. Light and soft and falling thickly enough to keep the surface white despite traffic. Mmmmrrr.

In other news, I really am feeling domestic today.

In other news, I am alive, in love, well-fed, and warm. So appreciative. This is definitely the weekend for slowing down and being appreciative.

It's too nice a weekend to keep making posts like this. Now to go make something.

:)

The snow is so great. I shovelled a walk for the first time ever today. It only made it more slippery, but hey.

For The Boy, some Van Morrison.

I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
Then magnificently we will float into the mystic

and

I'm in heaven, I'm in heaven
I'm in heaven, when you smile
When you smile, when you smile
When you smile.
And when you walk
Across the road
You make my heart go
Boom-boom-boom
Let it all hang out
Baby, let it all hang out

Yeah, Well.

Okay. So I'm just gonna be like this for a bit. Greatpoets hit me with this one, and it's one of my favourites.

Juggler and I are tearing through a construction project with highly toxic but stupendously beautiful wood-- paduak. Dear gods, but it's lovely. The sawdust is like blood. You'll see. I'm mgoing to try hand-making hinges with wire and pliers.

It's so funny to work with the Juggler on one of my projects-- our asthetic sensibilities are so different, almost comedically so.

Regardless of the source you get your energy from, the problem is still wasting less of it. I mean, using lots of fieldspace to grow oil instead of pulling it out of the ground presents its own problems. Wasting biomass, old and fossilised or new, is kinda sucky. But hey.
