So while I've been having the best month of my life to date (there are too many good days days lately for me to leave it at a week, and they all complement each other nicely), a net-friend has had his house struck by lightning. I love the internet. Without it, people I know wouldn't die in undercover work in small Central American countries, nor would they get their houses struck by lightning.

Um, yeah.

I was gonna write a post about sex and how I ejaculated all over a boy's face the other day (for which the technical term is 'fucking hot beyond belief'), but somehow the juxtaposition of all these things is frying my brain. Glad I'm going dancing tonight. Family dinner before then, c'mon out to my house and bring fruit for fruit salad.

I lost a modem to lightning once. When I was living with my parents, lightning struck the telephone junction box on the edge of the house and destroyed every telephone except the one that was attached to my very expensive 28.8K modem (at the time, it was pretty hot stuff...)

My friend and I both had lightning strike trees in our backyards within a few weeks of each other. In both cases, we lost a router and a network card due to the surge. In my case, there was also a dead squirrel on its back next to the tree - pretty clearly it was on the tree when it got hit.

The third member of our circle of friends was worrying when his turn would come...

Indeed. It was amusing in a morbid sort of way because the squirrel was quite clearly in the same pose in which it would be climbing a tree, but dead and on its back.

The lightning strike also blew some bark off the tree, but that's not nearly as funny.
