Date: 2007-04-04 06:48 pm (UTC)Polar fleece would do for your extra blankets if you have time to go to a fabric store. They're usually selling some ugly pattern off cheap, and it doesn't need to be hemmed (is that spelled right?).
Also offhand, flashlight, and glasses (for backup).

Date: 2007-04-04 10:47 pm (UTC)Granola bars or anything mainly seedy/nutty actually makes me pretty nauseous if I rely on it as food, instead of using it for garnish. It limits my options that way. Luckily dried fruit works, and is a great idea.
I have a ton of afghan blankets around, and Juggler sewed me a polar fleece sleeping bag liner last year, but an extra polar fleece piece for a wandering-around blanket ythat can get dirty isn't a bad idea.
Flashlight- duh.
Glasses- I really should own a pair, hm?
